Sore perineum 13 months after childbirth

Cross-posting for traffic...

I had DS 13 months ago. Second degree tear, stitched up, healed fine and no pain or discomfort. Until this week. It isn't agonising pain but I'm definitely feeling a bit sore along where I tore and and I can't figure out why. My periods have only come back in the last few months and in the past week I've had a lot of vaginal discharge. Could this be irritating my scar?

I've also gone back to work so have been sitting down more than usually but have only been in two days a week and previously I've done a flight where I was sat down for 12 hours with DS on my lap and was fine!

Has anyone else had this problem?

There is no way you should be this uncomfortable. I've had four kids the old fashioned way, with a lot of tearing the first time around, and even though I ended up having, shall we say, a bit of repair work a couple of years back as it was all a bit saggy, I never had trouble sitting down. Clearly the first repair wasn't done properly and there's scar tissue or something. I would recommend you see a gynae as you shouldn't have to put up with this.
