7 months later....no AF

My baby is now 7 months old and my AF has not returned. I exclusively expressed for 4 months, then over the last 3 months have reduced this and combination fed. I'm now down to expressing just once every 2 days. I'm a little concerned about AF not yet returning, given that I've drastically reduced the amount of expressing. I know exclusively bf can delay periods but it's been 3 months since I was doing the equivalent of ebf. Has anyone else experienced this?

I didn't get my af till about 5 weeks after my last ever breastfeed even though dd was being weaned and using formula at this point (close to a year post birth). I think some people have af return whilst still exclusively bf ing and others have to stop completely.

My DS is 15 months and has BF from the beginning and still feeds about 3 times daily now, I've had one (sort of AF) since he was born.

I am 10 weeks pregnant with (planned but still a surprise) number two now though so I wouldn't be unduly concerned! Grin

I think when BFing it can take a long time for things to right itself but just be aware that you could still be ovulating as normal.

Got pregnant with DD2 when DD1 was 9 month. AF had never returned...

Was still breastfeeding BTW

Thanks all.....maybe I'll wait a bit longer before getting too worried!
