evening primrose oil

I've been reading up on taking evening primrose oil to bring on labour.
Has anyone taken it and it's worked? I'm 36+5 with second baby. I was induced at 42 weeks with my first and he took 2 days to arrive (awful labour) I'd do anything to make things easier this time!! I don't want to go overdue and preying not to be induced again x

Watching with interest as I've asked this question elsewhere myself, will be getting started in 3 weeks but was going to start taking this to soften cervix a little before

Purely anecdotal of course but I had dc1 at 42+2, dc2 at 40+5, dc3 I started taking capsules (orally and internally) at 37weeks and he arrived at 38+4!

Defo at least worth a try then? TMI but can I ask if you put the full capsule internally or just the oil?

Whole capsule although the casing kinda fell back out once dissolved!

Ds1 no epo, almost 2 week over induced.
Ds2, used one internaly at night, didnt take orally, went into labour on due date, but had a slow labour so he arrived +5
Ds3, used internaly and orally he was born at 38 week :)

Could be just how it was going to be anyway, who knows. But will def be using again this time.

I'm keen to try this - when do you start taking/inserting the capsules?

I am currently 36+2, I started it at 35. I am due to be induced at 39 so anything that can make me a bit more ' receptive' I will try. :P
