Where an I find the stats for risk when going more than 12 days overdue?

40+9 today and talking about induction with mw. Discussing waiting until 14 days overdue but dh doesn't want me to and to be honest I am not sure of the risks stats wise although I undeerstand them in simple terms.

A simple Google search and looking on the NiCE website has not brought anything up.

Can someone point me in th right direction so I can make a more informed decision and show dh.

Have you tried the AIMS website?

Sands might have some stuff on their website as they do lots of research into stillbirth.

Saying that it might not be the kind of place you want to be looking at if you're due a baby very soon.

How due are you about your due date and is this your first?

My DC3 was 16 days overdue and I refused induction. This was because the hospital moved my due date back by 8 days and also DC1 and DC2 where 6 and 8 days overdue respectively - so I was expecting DC3 to be 1 week over my due date, which was 2+ weeks over the hospitals official due date.

Uncomplicated spontaneous natural labour and delivery.

But DC4 was a different matter. At 12 days overdue they noted baby's heart rate dropping, induced because of risk to baby. Very quickly after induction baby's heart rate fell very severely and there was a real danger to life. I was a Cat 1 C-Section (baby delivered within 15 minutes).

How sure are you about your due date...

Thanks will try and find SAts again and look at blog. Not sure about due date at all. This is my second dc and stupidly I didn't record my periods very accurately as just wasn't expecting it to happen so soon. So dates are only based on scan.

Was induced with ds at 40+10 due to lack of fluids so guess it's to be expected likely I would be induced again.

Want to try and let my body go to 42 weeks as long as baby is ok this time. Only 4 days away though so not holding my breath. The fact that the still birth rate doubles after 42 weeks and I am not sure about dates puts me off going any longer.

I went to 40+16, but I had a lot of support from my partner, a doula and an independent midwife who is a friend. Probably if it had been a nervous partner and the other two weren't around I'd have been induced when they wanted at 40 weeks.
