First baby, yellow bump...

Just being impatient!! Can't wait to meet the little one, and find out what we have!

Anyone else at a similar stage? Also are you being more cautious with staying near home etc in these last few days/weeks?

Hopefully have my birthing ball delivered today Smile can start bouncing on that! Baby was 3/5 engaged last Wednesday so has hopefully dropped a little more by now.

Have been having dull period type pains and some sharp stabbing pains in my cervix Confused maybe it's a sign something is happening?!

Excited to share this last stretch with ladies around the same time as me, even if just to help pass these last days! Hubby still at work, 2 weeks into maternity and feels like it's going to be forever till this baby shows!

Hi Jenny,

I'm 38+3 with my second daughter and also feeling more than ready, it's such a drag at this stage isn't it.

It does sound like your body is starting to prepare, I didn't have a single early labour symptom with my first, the initial cramp was the first of many and she arrived the following lunchtime 2 days early. I dread going past my due date with this one, I've waited long enough Smile

I don't know how engaged she is, I had a scan last week and they said she was very low and I can feel a lot of pressure and grinding on my pelvis so sounds as if she's ready to come, I've also had Braxton hicks and feeling very narky, hehe. I've got a routine midwife appointment tomorrow morning and I'm keeping everything crossed she tells me it's imminent.

Does yours ever check your cervix? mine didn't with the last one and I don't expect her to tomorrow but it would be nice if she did have a check to see if there are any changes.

Someone posted a link the other day about the average arrival dates and with both the first and second it's 39+5 (which my first was), that would be next Friday for me but I have a feeling it'll be Thursday, Feb 26th has always been a significant date for me, nothing huge happens but lots of little things like birthdays, appointments and house moves so maybe it's destined to be the day she arrives??

Have you got everything ready for your baby and the bags packed?

I'm 39 + 4 with our first and also don't know if it's a boy or girl. Apart from increasing BHs which I've had since 5 months, and very occasional cramping I have no signs of anything happening imminently. As of last week the head wasn't even engaged and my next Mw appt isn't until I'm 40 + 3 so not really expecting anything soon. Getting fed up of being beaten up from the inside although it's lovely that baby is so active.
