Induction or cs - vbac??

Hi, I'm hoping for some different experiences and opinions on this subject as I'm getting told so many things my head is spinning!

I'm currently 36 weeks with baby number two and hoping for a vbac. I went into labour naturally at 38 weeks last time and after a full labour and continuous monitoring/tests etc, they finically did emcs. Turns out cord was round the neck.

Every time I go to the hospital, I see a different consultant and midwife. Needless to say they all have different opinions on everything! But what I'm trying to decide is whether to keep my induction appt or just opt for a planned csect if I gonoverdue. Today I was told I should be induced at 40 + 12 which would involve trying two pessaries, breaking waters and then the drip. Has anybody had this? Some things I read say pessaries are more risky for scar rupture, others say the drip is. The first consultant I saw said they'd leave it 6 hours but today this consultant said 24?? Seems a huge jump! With a toddler at home I want to be in and out of the hospital as quickly as I can but of course I want to do what's right for the baby and what's safest!!

Sorry for the long post!

Thanks for any input!
