Did you have any clues labour was imminent?

Currently 38+3 with my 2nd baby. Went 2 weeks over with my 1st and was induced so I've never experienced spontaneous labour.

I'm having loads of twinges this time round but I'm guessing that's down to it being my 2nd time?

Question is, did anyone have any clues which suggested labour would start very soon? Apart from the usual mucus plug etc, was there anything else?

Thanks ladies, getting excited now Grin

Burst of energy to do stuff both times. Top tip - don't!

I just remember not being able to sit still and being crazy anal about things.. where DH had left his gym bag and the squash to water ratio in my drink to name a few. and my bump was crazy tight. 2 days like that and my waters broke!! Smile

I didn't have any contractions before my waters broke either and was spontaneous labour!! I found the less i encouraged it the easier it came! DS was born 40+ 0 so perfectWink

good luck with your labour!!

With my first I was 8 days over and gradually started losing my mucous plug, then had very gentle contractions for a few days (more like Braxton hicks), went into proper labour 11 days overdue.

With my second I had my mucous plug gunk on my due date, and went into Labour that evening.

My c section scar from ds really hurt. I went to the hospital worried it was going to burst but was told to relax by consultant and I wasn't going into labour.
My waters went when I got home.
12 hours later I saw the same consultant as she checked me over after I'd had an emergency section to have dd. She looked a little sheepish.

A couple of days before I went very hot in temperature and was very tearful for no reason.
I also had a burst of energy and went walking/did cleaning etc.

Thank you all! Wish I had a confirmed date so could organise child care! Grin

Nope, no signs at all. My waters broke out of the blue both times. With my first I was 38 weeks, eating dinner and watching a film. With my second I was just drifting off to sleep, 37 weeks and not so much as a twinge.
