Am In 3rd trimester . 2nd child after a previous "normal" pregnancy, though now I realise it wasn't as baby was not moving at all previously and I was misguided by midwives. Baby born vaginally via induction at 42 weeks and concequently our child was diagnosed with genetic disorder resulting in a a life time of care never to live independently.

So am pregnant with 2nd after not being sure I could face it. There is a problem with my placenta so I amhaving regular growth scans and I will be induced if baby not arrived by due date.

I am fine with this however, I now socialise with other SN mums and know a few children damaged at birth by poor care/monitoring and bad luck. I also know with our childs condition she was very lucky not to be damaged during birth as she was so weak. I have been avoiding midwives and seeking most care from Consultants. My dilemma is do I ask for a c section or do I look at statistics and believe my 2nd will be born ok? Can I just ask for a c section?

I hope this decision will be taken out of my hands somehow.
