Portland Hospital Obgyn recommendation for elective c-section delivery

Hi I am now pregnant with my 2nd child, and my first was delivered by Guy Thorpe-Beeston at the Portland by elective c section. No pain, recovered in 2 days, perfect incision and recovery. I did not need anything more than paracetamol after 3 days. He did a perfect job. Problem is, I am now due in early July and he will be away on holiday when I am due!!

I would like to know from other mums who delivered by elective c at the Portland, if they had a perfect recovery and painless experience (with exception to the next day, etc) - who was their Obgyn?

I have had friends with the same Obgyn in common who did their elective c, and they told me horror stories of horrible incisions, agonising pain weeks after surgery, etc.. and they had the same Obgyns in common..which shows me that the choice of Obgyn does make a real difference in the experience.

I was going to say Guy! He does the most bloodless/neat section I have ever seen. If not Guy, try Mark Johnson 020 8846 7892 (but I suspect he will be booked by now...his secretary is at Chelsea & West). Or Nick Wales...also at Chelsea, 07748 808 806 or 01689 603 126 not sure if he does the Portland though. They don't have to be on the Portland website to do deliveries there.
