bleeding 6 wks after ELCS

I know I know, I should just go to the doctor. I will. On Monday. But, did anybody have fresh bleeding like a period which started at 6 weeks post ELCS? It's heavy and it can't be my period as I am breastfeeding.

Is this normal?

You can get periods whilst bf. Several of my friends have had their periods return whilst ebf , I didn't until I stopped and I was mix feeding. Of course if you're worried go to the GP but my first one after having DS was very painful and heavy.

It can be your period.

I had an emcs. Lochia for 3.5 weeks, period at 4 weeks. Then every 4 weeks as normal during the full year I breastfed (exclusively- no formula or top ups).

It is entirely normal to have periods while breastfeeding.
