Hi yes, I had mine before that and still am. If you are not b'feeding it can be longer or you might have a period if it gets heavier for a few days

Hi, six weeks in all, although it got a lot lighter towards the end and not every day. I thought it'd never end!

Mine was about 12 weeks with my first. I was very anaemic afterwards. Less with the others. Everyone is different, they say its usually 6 weeks.

Hi girls. This is my second baby and with my first I had a womb infection. I know what to look for as in symptoms etc. This is different my baby is 2 months and I've been bleeding on and off the whole time. Couple of weeks ago it was quite heavy which I put down to my period...but now I'm bleeding even more heavily where I'm needing to change my pad 3/4 times a day. It's really getting me down now and I get my check up on Friday aswell as lo jags. Plz help :-( xxx

I was told once you get to 8/9 weeks it is worth seeing your GP to get further checks done. Unless it smells or you have a fever in which case get to GP immediately.

With DC1 I was referred for an ultrasound when she was around 8/9 weeks. It picked up a tiny bit of retained "products" that my body was trying to flush out hence the on going bleeding, size of a finger nail. I had a D&C when she was 10 weeks old and bleeding eventually stopped when she was 12 weeks old.

With DC4 I became unwell when she was 3 weeks old. Went to GP and if they suspect retained products now you get a course of tablets. Sure enough a few days later I passed a lump of retained products the size of the palm of my hand.

So don't ignore it.
