Can anyone relate or give advice please? My LO is 11 weeks old. Had a four day induction (third child, fourth pregnancy) which resulted in ventouse delivery, no stitches. Two days after birth I started to get tummy pains. By day five I couldn't walk so hobbled to the doc who thought it was endometritis. Was given amoxiclav antibiotics and the severe pain went but at the end of the seven day course it was still a bit niggly but in the whole fine.
I left it until my 6 week check to mention the niggles. GP said unlikely to still be an infection and probably my body preparing for first period (bottle feeding) but took swabs just in case. A few days later I had a phone call from doc to say I tested positive to two types of infection and was now on the same antibiotics as last time as well as metronidazole. Finished those a couple of if weeks ago and again felt niggly pain. Still feeling it now but convince myself it could be bowel or period related.
I won't ask you if you think I should go back to doc as I know you will say yes but I feel really silly going back eleven weeks on. No temperature, the pain is not severe like before but does hurt if bending and if I touch my lower tummy. As I sit here now it is hurting a little.
Has anyone else had this and did it carry on this long? I guess I am worried now about taking a third or fourth set of tablets. Any feedback much appreciated. X
