Induction and heavy cold

Hi all - I'm scheduled for an induction on Wednesday at 38 weeks (for a couple of reasons) and have had a couple of false starts ('proper' labour, according to midwives) over the last 10 days. However, I've picked up my daughter's bad cold and feel dreadful. Does anybody know if that will stop the doctors inducing me? I hope not - am totally knackered as I have had contractions every night (stopping me sleeping) for 10 days. And I've been inactive/housebound/in a lot of pain because of bad SPD for the last 6 weeks...

I am booked for an ELCS on Wednesday and also have the horrible heavy cold! Coughing so much I can't sleep ect. I saw the nurse today at my gp practice she's gave me a salbutamol inhaler to take 4 times a day as my throat is inflamed and irritated and has said as long as Its not a chest or throat infection they won't delay anything! Thankfully Iv just got inflammation and viral symptoms. From what she's said unless you have a fever, or an active infection. They won't delay any planned inductions/sections as there is no guarantee on how long the virus could take to clear as antibiotics won't help it!

Had an induction via them breaking my waters on Wednesday - so no pessary or drip. All happened incredibly quickly and rather brutally (which is not unusual for my births) but all fine and cold seems not too bad! I think I scared everybody in the induction bays waiting for their inductions to get going though... Healthy and very sweet baby girl born 1 hour 20 mins after they broke my waters.
