Overdue and nothing happening

I'm three days overdue today but NOTHING is happening - no pain, no bh, no show. If it wasn't for my massive bump I'd think I imagined the whole thing! Anyone else gone into labour after having no signs of it happening at all? Please say yes!

I know it's easy to say but try and relax. Three days over is very normal and due dates are not an exact thing anyway. If you decide you want to try and bring on labour there are lots of things people on here will suggest, but there's every chance you'll go into labour naturally in the next few days.

I went into labour a couple of days early but with no warning whatsoever, no bh, no show, nothing except a trickle of waters followed by a movie-gush of waters! I'd had a lovely pregnancy and didn't have any of the back ache, insomnia, needing a wee, heartburn etc so, like you I wouldn't have known without looking down!

I've had a lovely pregnancy too so I shouldn't grumble really - but beginning to wonder if she'll ever come as she seems very comfortable! Just bought pineapple and a curry for dinner...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I went two weeks overdue. I've never been so desperate for pain in my life! Grin

Hope you go soon! Good luck!

weeblueberry · 08/12/2014 15:47

OMG yes. I went four days with absolutely nothing and then my waters just.....went. Randomly. Don't remember having a show or BH or anything like that tbh.

10 days overdue here.. I feel your pain, I really do!

Nononon · 08/12/2014 23:06

Also overdue by only one day. Last time I was induced at 2 weeks overdue and I expect the same this time. But I would love to go into labour naturally. Love it! Also I don't want the baby's birthday to be too close to Christmas Day Confused

Shockingundercrackers · 08/12/2014 23:11

I was overdue by 8 days first time round and 14 the second... Don't worry, they do come out eventually!

Enjoy the calm whilst you can.

Nononon · 08/12/2014 23:18

Yes as shocking says, enjoy the calm! I was desperate for DC1 to arrive, and when he eventually did 2 weeks late i remember suffering a couple of sleepless nights at home and then wishing I could me pregnant again just for one night to get some kip ;-)
This time I'm making the most of a full nights sleep while I still can because maaaaaaan having a newborn is hard work! Totally worth it though of course Grin

Hazchem · 09/12/2014 06:08

I'm 40+4 today. Second baby and first arrived at something like 40+10 or 11 so trying not to stress to much but frankly it sucks.

mythical · 09/12/2014 07:13

DD was 40+9 so today is never-explored-before territory!

BotBotticelli · 09/12/2014 09:12

Yes! I had DS1 at 41 weeks exactly.

No signs of anything at all until contractions started (feeling like period pains at first) at 40+6.

I had an attempted sweep at 40+3 and the midwife said my cervix was 'unreachable' and i was nowhere near ready to go. She had a good old try and reaching it though, and I swear it was her rough hands technique which got things started!
