Waters gushing

Horrible title but...

Really happy my water went with a 'hollywood' gush just read on another thread only about 16% of women do this before contractions start usually.

How did everyone elses go?

DD1 - small pop as I stood up from the toilet. Trickled for a while and then when my contractions started about 30 minutes later I got lots of mini gushes. It was about 3 weeks earlier than expected and I laughed hysterically at each contraction and said "it's like a movie"

DD2 - waters were broken by midwives as I'd got to about 8cm without any "useful" contractions. That was a bit weird as the waters just kept coming and coming.

In both cases I never got anything approaching a proper contraction until after my waters went.

Pop gush as I was getting into bed with ds (6). Contractions started a couple of hours later. That was 6 years ago.

Pop, drip, drip, drip and immediate contractions with dd.

Mine also went with a dramatic gush before established labour first time and also brow baby ending with traumatic (crash/GA) emcs. Second time also went with a gush just as I was climbing onto the trolley for a standard emcs for failure to progress. All over my nice new slippers

I Hollywood-gushed!
Then contractions started about an hour later.

I was also strangely proud when I found out this was rare!

Mine hollywooded with 4 out of five of my dc.
One on the street, one at someone's house and one in bed! All out if the blue and one at 29 weeks.
With dc5 I had polyhydroamnious so it's a good job I had a section or I'd have probably drowned bystanders!

DD1 waters broken for me
DD2 spontaneously but whilst in established labour
DD3 in a gradual trickle which if it had been my first would have made me wonder if I'd wet myself.
