post-birth bleeding or period?

6 weeks post birth ... I stopped bleeding about week 4. Today I'm spotting again.

Has the bleeding returned or is it my period? I'm breastfeeding so wasn't expecting aunt flo yet!!

I suppose it makes little difference practically. Just use pads when not swimming.

I had on-off bleeding for 8 weeks after giving birth, so its not necessarily your period...but it could be, so be careful if your getting back to it with DH/DP (a friend of mine got caught like that while BFing...)

With my three previous children, my periods started again 6 weeks post-birth regardless of the fact that I was exclusively breastfeeding.

DC4 is nearly 5 weeks. I stopped bleeding last week. I'm hoping my periods don't start next week, but the probably will

Guess I'll wait and see. ...and whatever it is, NOT rely on bf as "protection "!
