NC'd for this as it's a little bit embarrassing. Had my baby 4 months ago. Vaginal delivery, episiotomy plus 2nd degree tear. Had to have a bit of antibiotics afterwards due to infected stitches.

Now I'm 4 months on and still getting quite a bit of yellowish discharge, with a green tint. It doesn't really smell. I've had two swabs at the GP to check for infection and both came back clear. The GP thinks it's normal as I'm still breastfeeding (only a little bit now, mostly formula feeding) so my hormones / period should still be adjusting. But I am not sure whether I should push for a gyn referral? Has anyone had anything similar??

Hi Ginger your experience sounds quite similar to mine. Hope you're healing well.
I saw a consultant at about 3 months pp, and mentioned the discharge (yellowish/ grey Not green though) and she said that lochia (pp bleeding) comes in three stages. The last stage is just the sloughing of the uterine cells. That made sense to me, as although it didn't smell like my usual discharge, it didn't smell 'off.' It did all seem to go on for ages.
By all means ask for a referral if you are unsure, as it's better to be safe than sorry.
