How long from having waters broken by way if induction

Booked for induction today and my midwife has told delivery suite that I should be able to have my waters broken
When she did my sweep on Monday she reckoned if she had seen me in delivery suite she would've been able to break my waters then

Just wondering how long it took people to give birth
Ds1 was 12 1/2 hrs from waters breaking naturally
Hoping it will go quickly

My waters were broken at 11.40, in active labour at 3.15 baby born at 16.39.

I did however stall at 4 cm for ages. The reality was 4cm to baby delivered in 27 mins...

Good luck!

Hope its going well

I was only lowed to wait 2hours after having waters broken to go into labour & after I hadn't I was induced via drip!
Xxx

Been here 12 hours
Waters not broken yet, baby been monitored 3 times to get a sensible base line
Had some tightenings so crossing fingers that they carry on into labour before induction
Apparently they are just really busy!

From waters broken to baby 3.5 hours. Good luck, hope it's speedy!

I was already having contractions and 2.5cm dilated when my waters were broken, but from then to baby arriving took 8.5 hours.

Been having tightenings after an examination in the middle of the night but no waters broken yet
Been walking the corridors of the hospital in desperate hope of the going on their own

Ooh how exciting! Good luck, show us a photo when you have a squidgy newborn!

I was just coming on to say that it took 14 hours for my first baby to arrive after waters broken (waters broke during pushing with second!), but I hope that it's been quicker for you and that you're holding your baby by now Smile

I'm on my phone so not sure how to add a picture but we totalled 1 hr 40ish from waters breaking to baby (with the odd niggle before hand!)

Induced at 5pm approx and by 11pm my waters were making their exit! Laboured overnight and had DS at 8am - hurrah! Smile

Singsongmama · 24/10/2014 14:27
