Been really tired, really sad, worried, too hot and a bit grouchy today. Almost like PMT.....do you think it could be hormones getting ready for labour?

I had no idea labour was about to start- i went for dinner with a friend, then when I went to bed i heard a pop and my waters broke. No BH or contractions beforehand! I'd had a fairly active week but it was things that had already been planned, like shopping etc so not imminent labour related!

pinkie I'm 39+4 and feeling unusually tired today. I've been fairly energetic throughout this pregnancy despite sleeping really badly. Whereas last night I slept like a log for the first time in months and I feel like I could fall asleep right now.

At 39 weeks I sat on the sofa and ate far too many mini pasties, I then woddled off to bed and slept really well.

Got up in the morning, had a bit of stomach pain and said "ooh, I shouldn't have eaten so many pasties last night"

2 hours later I was lying on my bed, midwife declared I was fully dialated and then half an hour later ds was born Shock

Oh, I did feel different at all the night before. I just slept really well. With my first birth I didn't sleep for 72 hours beforehand (5 people broke into my flat whilst I was inside, in early labour Shock and had to deal with police etc) and then was blue lighted from my homebirth to a hospital 70 miles away. In the end couldn't push due to exhaustion. I think my body knew I definitely needed rest the second time!!
