I know it's been done before, but:

If your first labour started with gush of waters, did your second or subsequent labours start that way too?

No, my first labour first sign was waters breaking, had to be induced as contractions never really got going. Second labour contractions were first sign, waters broke 25 mins before delivery.

Yes to second labour, no to third Grin

First labour was a tiny trickle of water and contractions.
Second labour waters were broken after being in labour for ages.
Third and fourth waters broke then leaked for around 12 hours before any contractions.

Thanks, notso. Seems like every labour's different then really. Last time I had Niagara Falls and full-on contractions within the hour. Am 37 weeks now so will have to just see what happens...

With my dc1 my waters broke in such a small trickle the mws told me I was just having heavy discharge, with dc2 (a year later) an almighty gush!

Good luck Greenstone my baby days are well and truly over but I am always a bit Envy at the anticipation of the final weeks of pregnancy.
Even though when it was happening to me I was incredibly grumpy and wanting to just have the damn baby nowwww Grin

ah, thank you :) I'm not quite ready yet, but in another 1.5 weeks or so I'll be desperate to get it out!
