Timing Labour App

Hi there, can anyone recommend an app I should download to help with labour?

I downloaded a contraction timer - well, I downloaded three options, and kept the one I preferred (could work out how to use).

I found mine useless. In the middle of sudden, intense labour fiddling with a phone app was beyond me. When it was time for hospital I KNEW app or not!

Is there a particular reason you need one? Midwives tend to just do x in 10 minutes.

Haha Goats, that's part of my denial that labour is coming! I am pregnant now and see a baby in the future but labour is a blur

It suddenly dawned on me today that how would I know I'm in labour vs Braxton Hicks and maybe I should get a timer to time contractions ...

Ive got a contraction timer app, used one last time too. Tbh I found it most effective as way to rule out BH. If I fall asleep while using it then it must be BH

Thing is, you don't really need to know if it is very, very early labour or BH. Believe me, when it's bad enough that you need to know, you know! BH can be pretty frequent and regular, but if they tail off rather than ramp up it isn't labour.

All you really need to do is pick a 10 minute slot, count how many contractions you get. Repeat every time you feel you need to know - could be as infrequent as every hour or two if you have a slow start.

I found it really useful. It's a distraction if nothing else and great for when you're at home.

I used an app called full term (I use an iPhone). Downloaded it on Friday and found it useful. Dd born Friday evening!

I found them very useful, I don't remember which I had but my husband was timing them which meant we had more idea of the pattern
