You could put your foot down and say you want a breech vaginal birth. You've had 2 babies normally before therfore your body can do it.

Dr thinks too risky & my births were really fast - might not make hospital in time. Plus I'm in Portugal where childbirth methods are still 20 years behind UK

These websites may help here and here and here .

thanks for the links, v.interesting reading, but I really think unless baby turns the hospital will not let me go to term & homebirths are practically non-existent here as no medical assistence available - unless private. Am having strong words with baby!

Was the consultant not prepared to try to turn the baby? My third baby turned around one night at 37 weeks to go breech but the consultant turned him back again (procedure is called ECV) and luckily he stayed put that time!

Oop just seen you are in Portugal so maybe they don't do that procedure there - I think it is something that was common in the past, went out of favour for a bit when birth became very medicalised but is now available again in the UK.

Some people swear by acupuncture and other alternative remedies but I'm a bit about those.

I remember being really worried about the possibility of having a c-section - not because of the procedure itself but recovering afterwards and not being able to drive for a while (older children's school not withing walking distance) but I'm sure if it had come to that friends would have rallied around to help.
