It's been five weeks since I've had my baby. I had a second degree tear which seems to be healing somewhat reasonably. Issue is I still have a dragging feeling at the front part. Also when I have a poke around it feels like there's a dip in my vagina like just behind the entrance is this normal

Sorry to be a bit blunt but have you had a look in the mirror?

If you're not sure about anything, you should have your 6 week check up soon so get your doctor to examine you and check.

Keep up your pelvic floor excercises as that will help restore everything too.

Glad you are healing well and I hope that you are enjoying your baby x

Hi!

Your vagina will be a bit stretched, bulgy and more open for a while. I'm starting to get back to normal at 4 months.

The dragging feeling totally freaked me out and I convinced myself I had a pelfic floor prolapse of some sort, but the feeling is long gone and the gyne reports that I'm fine.

Give it time. 5 weeks is really soon. I didnt believe it when it was me but the healing does take time. Infact, you won't really know how things will settle until a couple of years and you wean your bub.

xx
