Hadnt felt baby move all day so came up tea time to be monitored. Im 33w4d. Whilst on the trace I started having contractions Confused every two mins and really quite painful!

After about an hour, they eased, I had an internal (cervix stilk high and closed) and they did a swab. Left on the trace due to uterine activity. Pain went and I only knew there was stuff happening as I could see it on the print out - regular as clockwork!

Ive been given a steroid shot and had some meds to delay labour, and am currently in the delivery room I had dd in attempting to sleep.

Wtf is going to happen?! They said I need another shot tomorrow evening and then its just a waiting game til I either get more contractions or my waters go.

I was still having regular tightenings when they took me off the machine and theyll be back at 3am to stick me on the trace again.

Ahhhh but I can hear a newborn baby crying somewhere close by which is nice!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

How are things now? How frustrating to not know what's going on, but it sounds like you are being well looked after which is good.

yes you're in the right place think. Things could settle or ramp up, either way good to be in hosp for now.

Definetly best to be safe rather than sorry and my bed in antenatal is so so comfy! Just had a tasty roast beef dinner too nom

Another shot of steroids tonight then if pain free all day today and tomorrow I can go home tomorrow

I had contractions at 32 weeks with my second, given steroids, haven't forgotten the big needle Shock . Everything settled and I had her at 40+4. I hope the same happens for u.

Oh that is reassuring!!

No contractions showing on the monitor now so looks good for a home journey tomorrow. Cant wait to see my dd at home and spend some time with her!!
