vaginal itching and painful pelvis after childbirth

My youngest baby is 12 weeks old and was born by crash C-section after 4 hours of labour. My vagina has been itching on and off since then and feels similar to when I've used latex condoms (I'm allergic to latex). I thought someone had accidently used latex gloves in the mad rush to get DS5 out but surely that would have stopped itching by now. No discharge apart from the usual egg white stuff so don't think it's thrush.

I've also got a painful pelvis, especially round the back. It really hurts when I sit down for long periods (mostly when breastfeeding) and get up from sitting. I've got hypermobility syndrome and I was put in stirrups so the dr could put the clip on the baby's head during labour.

I expected recovery to take longer this time (this is my 2nd C-section, first was elective) but didn't think I'd still be in pain 12 weeks later.

Poor you OP. I've no advice as to what it could be but I suggest you make an appointment and go and see GP. The last thing you need right now is pain and discomfort so go get it sorted so you can enjoy your baby :-)
