Anyone have any stories to tell? My bf is overdue and I promised her it would work!

Was I a bit rash?

I dont know much about this but know some ladies swear by it, here are a couple of links that might help. here and here

I've had it twice & so far nothing but my MW seems to think this is more unual than usual. Reflexology is also supposed to be good.

Never worked for me sorry

i didn't try it (DS arrived 2 days early) but my acupuncturist was v positive about the benefits of doing acupressure on yourself to help induce labour

I had an acupuncture session the week before my due date and later in the day I had some pretty strong contractions, having had not much more than a twinge beforehand. They wore off. I never went back for a second session because I went into labour on my due date

I did reflexology. A former midwife who had trained as a reflexologist fiddled with my feet for the last month of pregnency and baby popped out at home, less than 12 hours after Lucy agreed to try to get things under way. Less than 2 hous in labour, no pain relief needed. Would strongly recommend it to your friend.

My lady would come to see me at home and I was able to sleep like a log while she did her stuff on my feet. I was also guaranteed at least 10 hours of solid sleep the night of her visit! How many 9 month pregnant women with a 6 year old and 15 month old can say that!

Worked for me. Had DS 24 hours later - 7 days early.
