Hi folks - 32 weeks with DC2 with anterior placenta. I am planning a homebirth and really excited about it.
From 28 weeks I have been told baby is transverse and have been working on positions to get it moved - following spinning babies advise and doing inversions etc.
I have been paying heed to the advice that there is plenty of time yet to get baby moving but have been trying to allow time each day for hanging upside down and trying not to pay too much heed to any negativity.
Today i had an antenatal appt and feel gutted.
I have been told that i have 4 weeks to get baby shifted. They wont do an external manouvere due to placenta and will be booking me in for a c-section at 37 weeks to ensure my waters dont go / cord collapse.
if this baby is still transverse by next scan at 36 weeks- I will be removed from homebirth care pathway and into consultant led. I asked what would happen if it moved just before planned c -section - would i still be allowed to go back to homebirth plans and they said no - as too high a risk??
i asked for advise as to how i could move it into vertical lie and they didnt really have any. A few thin lipped sympathetic shrugs.
i feel really low tonight. Sure I know there is 4 weeks to get it shifted but i feel under so much pressure.
Any ideas as to what more i can do?
Has anyone experience of this and how did you manage to move your baby ( and keep it in a vertical position)?
