Hi ladies,

It has been 14 weeks since i gave birth to my beautiful baby boy and i still have not had a period. I am definitely not pregnant but i am really worried something is wrong. I have never breastfed if that makes any difference. I have an appointment with doctor this week but wondered if anyone else had experienced this x.

Seriously, POAS. If you've had sex since you had your baby you could be pg again.

Though I never bf DS1 and my period was still missing at 10 weeks. Gp was not worried, I went back on the pill and then got a "pill period" once I finished my first pack.

I'm 9 weeks postnatal, breastfed for a week, and I still haven't had a period. The doctor wasn't concerned at my 6 week check, nor the nurse I saw last week for something else. I think it's fairly normal. But as the person above said, if you've had unprotected sex, you could be pregnant again because you are fertile before you get your period. But you seem fairly certain you're not, so I wouldn't worry, it'll come in time I'm sure.

Don't worry, I think it's fine - it takes a while for hormones to shift back to 'normal' even when not bf.

I did ebf with all children - no period for years with any of them. my sil ebf with all hers - period returned 5 wks post birth. I don't think there is a 'right' thing.

However...I did become pregnant at 14 weeks after my 2nd child - never had a period, was ebf, so no clue at all until morning sickness set in!!
