Early labour - how long second baby.

I don't know if early labour is the correct term. I mean the bit from when contractions start to the hospital accepting that you are in labour, at about 3-4cm.
Anyway.
How long was this stage with number 2 compared with no 1

Contractions started at 4 am, got to hospital at 10.30am, not examined till 11 found I was 5-6cm, Dd was born 25 minutes later. Very fast compared to my first labour which was about 50 hours from waters breaking to birth.

Not sure but first was 6 hours from start to finish. Second was 3.5 hours start to finish.

Really huggle? My dd was 44 hours from waters breaking to birth (with the last four hours on a syntocin drip).

I was predicting maybe 24 hours with this one, but you've given me hope, it might be short!

I was shocked by how quick it all was, on the way to the hospital I kept thinking what if I'm only 1cm. The downside of it been so quick was no time for pain relief. My first labour waters broke but no contractions but as no beds bit of a delay until I was put on drip, then 9 hours on drip from 2-3cm to fully dilated.

Not sure about the different stages of labour (bit if a blur).My first was 23 hours from 1st contraction to baby being born. DC2 and DC3 were both about 6 hours.

Canwesee I had a really long first labour too but my second was much quicker. First took me about 24 hours to get to 3cm.
Second labour, had very mild irregular contractions from 2am to midday', then it really kicked off and was born at half two.

Nunmber one was 11 hours, number two was five hours from very first contraction to dd being handed to me. I had been 3cm dilated for almost two weeks before dd being born though, so that probably speeded it up!

DC1 - having contractions for 48 hours before going into established labour, then a further 12 hours of labour before delivery.

DC2 - first sign of labour was my waters breaking in a big gush. DS arrived 3 hours later!

I preferred DC2.....

Two hours.
Woke with a contraction. Managed at home for an hour as midwives said stay at home. Then thought bugger this and he was in my arms feeding 40min after we got to the hospital (10min away)

Ds1 was only 6 hours active labour though and dd was 2 hours again.

Thanks. Baby sitter lives 2 hours away so I'm wondering how much time I will have

My first was over 70 hours, 40 in the hospital, my second was 7 hours from first twinge to holding baby. Easy labour. I was in the birth pool for only 45 minutes before he arrived.

Hatetidying - if your babysitter is that far away I would seriously consider another option. My parents are half an hour away. I rang them in the middle of the night when my waters had broken and I wasn't having any contractions, but asked them to make their way over. They didn't hang around, but by the time they arrived contractions were every minute and I could barely stand up. Only just made it to hospital in time!

After such a long labour with DD, I never even considered DC2 would be so fast!

Thanks. Have a plan b now. Hopefully won't need but neighbours can watch little one. Although they are on hol til wed night so I'll have to hold on til then. If needs be il go to hospital on my own!

First baby was 20hr 1st stage about 36hrs In total, 2nd baby, I woke up with a contraction and she was born 3 1/2 hours later. So very different. I think you can pretty much expect anything to happen. Good luck
