Hi, my ELCS was nearly a year ago now, but from what I remember at the pre clerking appointment they took bloods, did an MRSA swab and gave me the anti-sickness and ranitidine tablets I had to take before the section. An anaesthetist discussed the spinal with me and I had to complete the consent forms. One of the midwives talked me through what to expect on the day and afterwards. I can't remember whether they wanted a urine sample - sorry!
