Am 40+3, Had lots of BH yesterday, cramping and some snotty jelly when I wiped, just woke up now getting back ache and period-type cramps, went to loo and blood when I wiped. Bit freaked out!!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Stay with the sensations, imagine they are waves sweeping through your body. Your labour sounds similar to my last one so far... The slow start is frustrating but I couldn't argue with the perfect finish Smile Hope things go beautifully for you too!

Lairy that sounds very frustrating! Hope you are getting some rest xxx

Just try to keep breathing, each contraction is your body getting ready to birth your baby. xx

Morning Flymo! Looking forward to meeting baby soon? Good luck!

Blondiemama · 06/08/2014 08:58

Hope all is going well OP, my labour was very similar to yours so I completely sympathise as to how you're feeling. Have you got MW coming out this morning?
Try a nice bath and I found my birthing ball a god send with DH rubbing my back! Good luck xxx

flymo79 · 06/08/2014 09:20

You are doing great! Stay with it and keep as active as you can. Focus on your breath…big deep breaths that are drawing that beautiful baby down and out.

flymo79 · 06/08/2014 11:02

Mw said 4-5cm dilated! So pleased, feels like the pain is doing something now... So grateful for encouragement

So glad you saw your midwife and things are moving along. How exciting!

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals · 06/08/2014 12:18

Wowzers! Well done. I had a very long slow start to labour but the actual nitty gritty of non breathable contractions and pushing etc was only a couple of hours which is cope-able. I hope the same is for you OP!

Blondiemama · 06/08/2014 17:29

Hope all is going well and that the labour is progressing as quickly as you're ready for. Wishing you a safe and healthy arrival xx

flymo79 · 07/08/2014 10:52

Baby flymo is here! Bit of a trauma with forceps needed in the end, and she's a whopper at 9.5lbs, not what we expected at all! Both totally besotted GrinGrinGrin thanks for all the support in the early stages
