Sweep yesterday opinions pls

Pregnant with 3rd dd. due tomorrow. Both girls were a week early so I'm so surprised I've made it this far. Had a sweep yesterday . I'm 1-2cm dilated
Woke up this morning and lost a fair bit of mucus.
So what do you my chances are ?? I can't go on much longer! Baby is fully engaged according to midwife.

Anybody?

Sweeps are a bit hit and miss IMO.

I had two with DD. 39+3 and 40+3. 3 cm dilated both times, (third PG) lost a heap of mucous both times. Got lots of cramps afterwards both times. Then nothing. Went into labour 41+1.

You might be luckier!

Still nothing. Really disheartened. Might beg for another next week if nothing happens!

I'm just jealous that she's engaged! 40+6 here and I couldn't have a sweep yesterday because baby isn't engaged yet! seriously though, I know how it feels to be fed up of waiting and just wanting them here!

I honesty thought because my first two were early I would have the same again. Been in a right huff all day. Still loosing lost of mucus though which is meant to be a positive sign.

I'm sure if it's ur first they don't engage till labour?

When I had DC3 he arrived just under 24 hours after my sweep. I hope you don't have much longer to wait, being pregnant in this heat can't be much fun.

Had a second sweep this morning. Still 2cm dilated and cervix nearly fully effaced and very thin. If this doesn't work I give up!

Im 40+3 and have sweep tomorrow. Its my third too, you think they would come early or at least on time being the third!. Never had a sweep before and not really looking forward to it.
I have not had any obvious signs he is on his way, just the usual bearing down of head.
Very fed up tho, everyday is like a waiting game. The house has never been so clean and organised.
Hope you start off soon, its nice and quick with little pain......we can wish!!
