mucus plug

Sorry if tmi but I am a few days over due and have had some streaky blood discharge and also some snot like discharge (nice!!) which I'm assuming is the mucus plug. How soon after that should I expect any labour pains to start? TIA

Number 1 it was 3 days after
Number 2 it was 2 hours.

Dunno if this helps but reckon you may be seeing your little one in the next few days!!!

Good luck.Remember its worth it in the end!!!! I remember being so scared with no 1 but try to stay calm and listen to your midwives,mine were fab and had 2 natural births.Hope it all goes well for you

it is no. 2 but I don't remember having a plug last time - my waters broke in the night and period like pains started immediately

i was a week overdue. none of the crap they told me to do worked..pineapple, sex, curries etc. she was a naughty little bugger though, they tried to break my waters when i was fully dilated.. they wouldn't go thought my baby was going to be born in a bag. the did go when i got up for a wee. I know this is the worst part, but it is coming. your cervix is moving hence the plug loosening

Mine was about an hour! (4 days overdue)Equally though i know someone who lost hers a week ago - still nothing! Bummer eh?

Mine went over 3 days, and then went into labour on the fourth.

i lost my mucus plug on weds 3 days overdue still nothing and its sunday no pains or anything so baby will cum when hes ready i quess

My mucusy blood thing was there every time I went to loo all day (from about 7am I guess). Contractions started at 9pm and DS2 was born around 11pm.

But, we're all different! I guess yours could go on for a couple of days.
