Induction and gestation period in family

My mother and 3 sisters were all induced at around 2 weeks over their EDDs in all of their pregnancies. For this reason I feel that there's a high chance that I'll also need to be induced. I haven't discussed this yet with my midwife (I'm 35 weeks) but it seems to me that the women in my family may just have a longer gestation period. How likely is it that the NHS will take this into account and agree to me waiting longer? Any experiences of this?

You can go over if you wish, the midwives will just ask you to attend hospital every day for assessment
