Which Lindo wing consultant?

Hi everyone! I'm new to Mumsnet and finding it to be such a wonderful resource, so I'm sure there is a lot of wisdom out there that could maybe address my question.

My hospital search has narrowed down to the Lindo wing at St Marys, and I was wondering if anyone has any input on specific consultants there? I've had a miscarriage in the past and an underlying health problem, and I'm also a pretty anxious person so I'm hoping for the hand-holding, reassuring type of doctor, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction :)

Thanks so much!

Hello

I have a brilliant private GP. He recommended Karl Murphy, Tiong Teoh and William Dennes who all work in the Lindo Wing.

Owing to holidays, only William Dennes was available.

He hasn't delivered my baby yet but he is friendly and seems very competent in all the consultations but obviously the main event hasn't happened yet!

Hoping this helps you.

If you are concerned re high risk of miscarriage due to a medical condition, Raj Rai is a leading expert (internationally known). I am under his team on the NHS but I think he works both nhs and privately at St Marys.

Lorin Lakasing is wonderful. Highly recommend her. About to use her for the third time. She has set up a company with Karl Murphy.

I had Mr Rai for my second baby at the Lindo (he's also at the Portland). I wouldn't say he was the handholding type but he was very kind and understanding of my anxieties (my first pregnancy was terminated for abnormalities).

Dr Zhang at Lindo/ Portland/ Queen Charlotte? Am being seen by her and she's so utterly compassionate. Yet to deliver so can't say how the finale is going to be!

i can second Raj Rai. I have antiphosphiod lipid sydrome. I have had 4 miscarriages and 3 live children. None of my children would be here without Raj Rai.

After years of infertility and losses we finally gave up on our GP and local NHS fertility center and talked BUPA into letting me have appointments with Raj.

He was amazing and had me diagnosed and on a treatment plan in weeks. His plan became the basis of all my antenatal care on the NHS when i got pregnant again. The result in my lovely 3 children.

I cannot recommend him enough.
