Water pool - can i use any hose?

Can I use any hose to fill up my water pool or does it need to be the one off the websites? Only they are much cheaper in B&Q and assume an unused hose is just that.

I got one from home bargains for about £10 Grin it was fine, as long as it connects to your tap you can use any!

No, it has to be food grade. Reason being that non-food grade has various potentially toxic chemicals from the manufacturing process in it. You obv don't want to be delivering a baby into that. You can get it off Ebay in the lengths you want for reasonable price though.

I used a new garden hose. The midwives seemed to think that was fine.

I was also terrible enough not to wash DS's new clothes before putting them on him.

Cheers. the only advice my midwife gave me was not to fill the pool in advance, which is apparently not common sense that stagnant water causes problems.

We hired a pool and with it came two lengths of brand new garden hose... Now you mention it I was expecting food grade hose and haven't queried but assume since their business is hiring out birth pools that they know what they're doing! Since I could go into Kanpur any time I haven't really got time to get anything different now either!
