Does baby bump always drop?

Im 36 weeks (measuring 40) and wondered does baby always appear to drop? Im sure ive read the more pregnancies you have the less likely you are to appear like youve dropped.
I feel baby very low and the midwife has said he is head down. Very bulbus on my lady parts (sorry tmi) but cant remember ever appearing like i had dropped with the last 2 children.
Just wondered if anyone has always carried high and dropped as you give birth.

DS1 carried high, 3/5 engaged at last mw appointment and never dropped but labour was induced

DS2 carried high, not engaged and hasn't dropped either

In both of my pregnancies my belly didn't drop. Infact I walked round to doctors whilst in labour (didn't know at the time) and bumped into a wloman who said I've got a long wait as my belly was too high!

My first was born on due date my second the day after.

No. Three children here, no 'dropping'.

Ive only had 1 and bump never appeared to drop and i never got that bowling ball between your legs sensation. Baby just surprised us when she was ready.

Thanks everyone!!! People keep saying "oh you havnt dropped yet" but as you im sure i carried high until minute waters broke.
Never had the bowling ball sensation either (dont think i would want to).
Murderous heart burn etc tho so carrying high does have its negatives.

Constantly looking for signs im not far away from D day. Its just as bad as when trying to conceive and waiting for the pregnancy line.

People talk all manner of bollocks about pregnancy. Like claiming they know the sex from the bump shape.

My boy dropped during labour!

My waters had broken, went on for ages, then suddenly I felt a drop, clearly my boys head plugging the hole up :)
