40+6 latent labour? Or is this something else?

This is my first so all new to me. I started having contractions during the night picking up to every 5-10 mins from 6am until about 3pm today with increasing abdominal cramps (about 4/10 pain at its worst). And now it's pretty much stopped.

Anyone had similar? What happened? I've had no mucus or waters and my cervix is still really high/far back so I can't reach it.

It does sound like latent labour. Given your term it's kinda inevitable that your body is getting to birth any day now Smile

those contractions would have been doing something to help prepare your body. It can be frustrating, but take the opportunity to spend these last few days resting (if you need to) and spending time with your partner.

It WILL happen Smile

Thanks. Kind of hoping someone will come along and tell me it'll get going again soon. It's beyond frustrating and impossible to enjoy anything with all the waiting and worrying but I appreciate the sentiment.
