When to put on a tens machine?

39+3 and think I am in early stages of labour - increasingly painful semi-regular pains across bump and into back. Wondering when is the best time to put tens machine on? Pain is uncomfortable but not unbearable as yet and only have one set of electrodes so don't want to waste them if this is a false start! Smile

I'd put it on as soon as your contractions are regular and you can't talk through them. Works better the earlier you start to use it. Good luck! Smile Sounds like you'll have a baby soon.

I would buy a spare set and put them on ASAP the next time. I was induced using gel with dc1 and put the on as soon as I started getting niggles and managed to get fully dilated without even gas and air so really recommend getting them on early.
