in slow labour but indfuction booked for next week?

hi im now 37+5, went to see my obs yesterday (GD, graves, PCOS) and had an internal done was told 2cm dilated and because diabetes team quering insulin shell put me in for an induction. however last night started contractions woke 3am this morning between 7-5mins apart they told me to stay home (no waters or show sorry tmi), and they stopped at 8amish. theyve come back further apart but more pain taking pain relief warm compress etc, no show still. wondering if anyone else in this predicament or advice please?

I had contractions Friday night till Tuesday AM for DS. I was overdue so had an induction appointment Monday afternoon anyway, when I went to it they just broke my waters as labour had begun naturally. My labour came and went all weekend, sometimes very intense and then back to once an hour (for Sunday afternoon for instance). Some people told me to keep active/bounce on exercise ball, the hospital told me to take paracetamol & have a bath (this slowed everything right down)....so...I don't know what's the best thing to do, and don't know about your medical complications, but I HAVE been there!

im hating it atm intermittant, as in 3 hours of on off pain then 4 hours nothing. could sit and cry after all the hospital put me through, in and out of different specialists, registars scaring me and now midwives telling me to stay home cos theres no point until im in establish labour.

Latent labour, stop start labour is really really common. It is also emotionally really hard work. It requires energy and strength to get through each contraction but then a massive amount of emotional energy to cope with the fact it's taking time.
I had a long latent phase my advice is.
Rest and relax while you can rather then trying get to going it will come on it's own and you need to have the energy when it does.

Remind yourself that each contraction in latent labour is one you don't have to have later (when they are more intense) but they are working to get your baby out.
eat and drink as normal.
Distraction as in good movies.
Have a good cry if you like.

Hazchem thank you for that advice just trying to chill out, my birthday is tommorow but other than my DPs family i wont be seeing my own that makes me feel a bit sad. But we move on

birthday is today, had my show turn up last night in so much pain ended up in hospital for mointoring however sent me home at 1am this morning stating i was only 1cm dilated (obstectric consultant said 2 on wednesday) so waiting ans see what happens

Opps I never quite get the time difference right :)

I went to hospital twice only to be told I was still freaking 2 cms! I even vomited once after yet another examine saying two cm. It really really sucks! much better to be at home however and being fed cake and yummy food then at hospital for you birthday.

well to top that off my oh got fired because they told him to stay with me, feeling very tired and achey today

What do you mean he got fired for staying with you? Is he taking advice on that - doesn't sound right to me.

They didnt like him, they were placing bets on how long hed last, but they told him via text on my birthday so a few tears for me. I've said if he wants to take it further do so, just tired of bad luck right now
