If you have an incomplete cervix did it affect your birth?

I have an incomplete cervix due to a cone biopsy many years ago. I'm consultant lead but they are happy that my cervix is going to hold. I'm now 38+2.

I've not really had any information about how it might affect the birth. Cancer research website says there is more chance of a C-Section because of scar tissue stopping the cervix opening as normal.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks very much Thanks

Only my personal experience. I had come biopsy LLETZ treatment 2 years before my first which left me with IC.
With dc1 it was undiagnosed and ended in premature birth @29 weeks. Natural very fast delivery, no problems with dialation etc.
dc2 was diagnosed at 16 weeks, stitch placed at 17 weeks, removed at 38 weeks, delivered at 38+3 after waters broke at 38+1 (stitch did it's job!)
I did have to be induced as labour failed to start following waters breaking, on off contractions for 2 days but nothing doing. Wasn't much fun, pessary got the pains going but I didn't dialate at all.
They were at the point of wanting to start me on the drip which I really didn't want, so my wonderful midwife instead gave me a sweep which worked and I went from 2cm to birth in just 3 hours.
She claimed after to have done this before for women with cervical scarring, true or not no idea but it released something somewhere and got things moving when I was cascading into interventions.
I strongly believe I was headed towards c section that day, I too had read about scarring and was worried. I have no idea if what my midwife did was unusual but it may be worth bearing in mind?

I just have a rubbish cervix in general, it had shortened greatly from 26 weeks.
Only advice I had was that I could go into labour very quickly. I did and was 5cm within the hour. Maybe double check with midwife?
