I had an elcs 6+4weeks ago. My lochia stopped on day 22 and no discharge at all afterwards. Last night, day 45 I had a tiny bit of red blood so took my first pill believing my first period had arrived. I'm not breastfeeding. But since that bit last night, there's been nothing. Surely after three weeks it can't be remnants of lochia?

Would the pill not stop the bleeding? What pill is it? Combined/mini?

Tea1Sugar · 01/06/2014 03:07

Combined pill. I wouldn't have thought just one pill would have had an effect on the bleeding. Still nothing. I'm baffled as go whether it was a touch of lochia albeit three weeks after stopping or a teeny tiny period. Blush

I wouldn't have thought so either but possibly your body is really reactive to the hormones after all the changes it's been through.

I had a few days of bleeding after a few weeks gap after birth. I've never asked anyone else though. 0perhaps it's normal.

Did you do anything strenuous that day or day before, walking, lifting, being on your feet for a long time?

I has this a few times, bleeding had stopped, I had a very active day and it started up again - could it be that maybe?

Yes I had been for my first jog. Worried now that I've started the pill at the wrong point. Figured it was day 1 of my period so I took it. Is that a problem? Shock

Only a problem if you had unprotected sex. You can starts at any time but if you start whilst bleeding you have instant protection. I believe it's 7 days and you are fully protected.

You're 6 weeks in and went for a jog??? Crazy fucker! I was two years in before I did Wink jut to be sure

Tea1Sugar · 01/06/2014 09:42

Sex?! What's that?!

Ha! Don't worry then. Just wait seven days and you're good to go. It may be less but I don't think it is.
