Cheapest private Consultants at Portland?

Hi all,

I am having my third section in August. I had DS2 at the Portland on BUPA and have just started looking into which Consultant etc this time around.

From speaking to BUPA earlier (who aren't quite as helpful as I remember) it looks like they cover 4 nights at the Portland and only two nights elsewhere. I loved the Portland last time so am def keen to go back anyway.

Only snag is - and I am not sure if they have clamped down or what (they claim my policy hasn't changed from last time around) - it looks like they only cover £548 for the Consultant fee and £235 for the anesthetist and the patient makes up the shortfall. I have left a message with one Consultant but wondered if anyone has experience of which Consultants charge what at the Portland as BUPA say they don't know.

Last time I had Dr Roberts, who was fab. I want to give her a call again, although it looks like she never billed anyone last time (according to BUPA) so I am worried I will get stung for last time before I've even started. I have left a message with Dr Chow, who I know from Kingston NHS.

Does anyone have any recos of Portland Consultants they have used who are relatively cheap? Thanks
