Hello!

Can anyone recommend a private midwife in the south London/Surrey area? I'm mainly looking for postnatal care.

Very keen to hear experiences.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm in a similar area and using Neighbourhood Midwives. I think the antenatal care I have had from them has been good so far. They are very responsive whenever I have a query. If they are at a birth, other appointments can get pushed, but I'm fine with that - I will be their priority one day but right now a routine appointment should not be prioritised over someone else who needs them.

Neighbourhood midwives - delivered both my second and third babies. Can't praise them enough!

They are well known on mumsnet - many of the midwives who work for them used to work together as South London Independent Midwives. If you search them on this board you'll get nothing but positive comments. Search 'Tina Perridge' - she has delivered quite a few babies of mothers who post here and is GREAT!

My friend used Neighbourhood Midwives and raves about them. Good luck!

It's so lovely to hear such praise for them. As I said up thread I have been happy with my AN care to date but obviously the main event is still to come!

Yours Maternally, based in Wellington covers London, Surrey, Sussex etc. Katrina is brilliant! I had a homebirth with her last September & it was an amazing experience!

Should have added that her postnatal care was fantastic!

Thanks for all this feedback.

I'm just looking for limited postnatal care and have now met the famous Tina who is lovely.

Just trying to figure out what package as I'm already booked for a private london hospital birth so pennies are tight!

Thanks again for all the advice.
