Hey wise ones, I know there are some similar start / stop labour frustration threads but I am not sure if this is start / stop or something I should worry about.
Night before last I had very regular period / poo / trapped wind type pains lasting only 20 - 30 seconds every twelve minutes, which petered out after a few hours. Then during the day I had the odd cramp and lots of lightening pain. Last night I had the same pains lasting a bit longer but totally irregular - totally felt like I needed to fart! Are these contractions or signs of a problem?

Sounds like latent labour to me... Think it can take a while to get going properly. I'd give your MW a call for reassurance if you are worried/bleed/have reduced movement.

Sounds like it won't be long though! Good luck. Smile

I've been like this for about a week now. Cervix has shortened apparently and she's pressing down hard but have been told just to wait it out.
