40 weeks pregnant, 2cm dilated, fully effaced, head very low, sweep this morning, cramps and tightenings

I'm 40 weeks today. I have been having mild tightenings for the past 3 days. Today I had a sweep and was 2 cm dialated, fully effaced and midwife said the head was literally about 2 inches from being out. Since my sweep ( which she said looked like it went successfully) I've had a bloody show, constant cramping and more painful tightenings every 10 or so minutes. (Painful but not agonising like midwife said they had to be to come in) Can anyone give me a slight idea as to when I may go into labour or have her?

Well it's a while ago now but I had a sweep on my the morning of my due date with dd3 and gave birth at 3.46 the following morning. Good luck, I think you'll be meeting your baby quite soon Smile
