Deliver Private Hospital near Reigate, Surrey?

Hi All

Has anyone delivered privately around Reigate? Any recommendations of obstetricians or hospitals? And a rough idea of costs?

You need to go into London if you want a private maternity hospital or ward. There are only a few private facilities in the country and they are all centrally located. You can count them on your fingers. If you want to be midwife led there are a couple more options outside the capital but they are few and far between and still very limited in number.

Thanks RedToothBrush. I have not lived in the UK for close to 10 years so am a bit clueless on what is on offer privately, I did find this website who state they offer private maternity care in Kingston. I will give them a call and find out.

Can you tell me what is "midwife led care"?

Midwife led care means your birth will not be overseen by a consultant, infact there might only be midwives in the building. If anything goes awry you may need to be transferred to another hospital. Personally I would want consultant led care with access to neonatal icu and consultant paediatricians.
