Hi everyone, I would love if some of you would volunteer to take part in my survey. It is only 10 questions (multi-choice) and no confidential info is required.

I am currently doing an essay for my college course on opinions about home birth and would love to know what you think whether you have experienced one, thinking about one or not.
If you have anything extra to add or feel I have missed something please feel free to get in touch.

The link for my survey is

Thank you
Francesca

For the question on being "discouraged" there needs to be an option for "not possible for medical reasons". That is very different from someone being " discouraged" and could skew your data (e.g. pre eclampsia, medically required c sections etc cannot be dealt with at home so it isn't down to negotiation for some).

Hi, I'd also say you need to make it clear which pregnancy you want people to answer for. For example, I've had one hospital, one home and am pregnant. The answers are different from each. Smile

Also, without wanting to sound like grammar police, if you're making adjustments to the survey there is a little typo in question 4.

I agree with last poster that the "discouraged" question. There is a difference between "discouraging" someone who is expecting twins in a breech position and has pre eclampia from having a home birth and the blanket approach that all home births are mad, dangerous and should be discouraged. Different health professionals have different perceptions of risk.

Access to homebirths is definately a postcode lottery. My midwife was very keen on homebirth, but in another town you would be thought as a lentil weaving nutter.
