How soon after your show did you go into labour?

I'm 41+3 and had the show at 7pm this eve. Nothing has happened since.... Bit of back pain but nothing major.
With dc1 my waters broke 3 hrs after the show and baby was born within 6 hrs.

I'm desperate to get this baby out now! How long do you think I might be waiting? I know that's probably like asking how long is a piece of string but just curious what other women's experiences were ... !

I had the first sign mp only after a few gentle contractions on a wednesday morning. More of it showed up over the next few hours. As it turned out, this was pre labour and ds didn't appear until saturday morning.

Thanks ladies. Still here! Slept through the night pretty much undisturbed. Rang the midwife this morn who said I could go in at lunchtime for an exam but that she'd be shocked if I hadn't gone into labour by this eve. Fingers crossed!!

Thanks- don't know whether to feel hopeful or desperate now!! All your experiences were similar to me for dc1. However, It's now been 24 hrs since this show and nothing happening Hmm

Not what you want to hear but my dd appeared 10 days after my show.

I hate to say this, but is now someone who has has bloody show almost every day for a week now and still nothing! I think it's rare for things not to happen quite quickly, though.

Hi wispa - hope things start happening for you soon!

To answer my own question, after my show on sat eve At 7pm I started getting contractions fast and furious at 3am last night - baby born at 6am this morn Smile

I've been having a 'show' on and off for nearly a week now - I am 37+5. It seems to be coming out in dribs and drabs rather that the entire plug in one go...

Am hoping baby sits tight for a few more days now though because DH away until Friday Shock

wispaxmas · 31/03/2014 22:42

Congratulations, omri! And it's not me I was talking about, I'm just 31 weeks, baby can sit tight a while longer Wink

ch1134 · 01/04/2014 16:21
