Just how does 'we won't let you go past 39 weeks' become, 'your c-section is booked for 39 weeks and 6 days?'

Am 35 weeks and thought i'd got to 1 month to go. Feel like this pregnancy is getting longer!

I measure 3-4 weeks bigger than average, i've had hyperemesis since 15 weeks. Now SPD, leg cramps and carpal tunnel.

Just get this baby out!

Planning to turn up at the hospital in protest saying ow ow ow ow ow ow repeatedly until they bloody section me. Under the mental health act.

I know you want the baby out, but do you want a c-section? just checking that you know your options (working on the assumption.that "size" is their only reason)

i actually have no fixed ideas on VBAC or C-section.

Have had one by emergency c-section at 42 weeks, and another by planned section at 39 weeks. Both experiences were poles apart with the first resulting in GBS pneumonia and nearly losing DS in NICU and me developing septicaemia. The second was textbook recovery and a healthy feeding baby so although I was sad not to experience normal delivery i can't complain as the experience was a good one.

With this 3rd pregnancy, the risks of rupture are much higher. Plus there's the size, and the GBS risk. I've opted for c-section at 39 weeks but with trial of labour if it starts before then.

Looks more likely I may start labour before the c-section date now though. Suppose I should start preparing myself for that happening.
